Hot on the heels of announcing the first two deals from the maiden Growth Credit Fund, we were delighted to be joined by a wide range of advisors, colleagues and contacts from across the UK regions last week to officially mark the fund’s launch.

The evening event, at Manchester’s Malmaison Deansgate, provided the Growth Credit team with an opportunity to thank all those who had supported with what has been a highly successful launch.

The Palatine Growth Credit Fund (‘the Fund’) held its final close in May and has already backed several exciting tech businesses, including Bristol-headquartered StorMagic and Manchester-based Voly.

Raised to support maturing, high growth companies which are seeing strong year-on-year revenue growth, the fund is focused on the burgeoning technology ecosystems of the North, Midlands, South West, and the South East.

Will Chappel, Partner and Head of Growth Credit said “We’ve been thrilled by how warmly the Growth Credit Fund has been welcomed by advisors and prospective customers over the last few months. The Fund was raised with the knowledge that the UK regions have been historically underserved in terms of growth credit. The response from regional markets has been fantastic, and with several exciting deals already completed, we’re pleased that our instincts and research are bearing fruit.”

Ryan Sorby, Partner and Head of the North added: “We’re proud to have a different focus and to be providing maturing, fast growing businesses in the regions with the opportunity to fuel their growth without diluting their equity.

“Welcoming so many contacts and colleagues to Manchester to mark this milestone was a great opportunity to say thank you to all those who have supported and advised us and to toast the future.”
